So....I went to the big metropolis of Honea Path tonight...and ate at
La Fogata...which is possibly one of maybe two restaraunts in the entire town.....with...this is the good part
ET and
Shelly...whom I haven't seen since FOREVER!! And I realized....I miss them....a lot! Tonight made me desperately miss old times....and friendship....and the crazy fun I used to have doing random things like taking
trips to
wal-mart...and
Mexi-Thursdays!
But....eventually it was back to reality where I returned to my little apartment...with all the packing boxes..and now...a not so lonely apartment because i have a new, uninvited, mysterious, though I believe ever present....companion?? possibly not the best word...i'd say he's more of a trespasser...I have yet to determine although I do believe he is a....

MoUsE!!!
..or maybe...even worse...
GASP....
a RAT!
EEk!
How do I know this you may ask???
From my excellent powers of deduction..I know this because I have found, only this morning, a pair of underwear...which are missing a great deal of important material..as well as a small bow....now I'm assuming this is a rather inteligent mouserat, because he has managed to untie a small bow and take it as well.
In light of the situation, I took a poll of advice from coworkers, fiance, and mother before purchasing mouse traps. Against the advice of Ned, and Brian from work...I purchased regular old traps....
Linda advised that the sticky pad was "inhumane" and prefferred that the mice be snapped in half.
Brian suggested the sticky pad was easiest.
Jerri Lynn provided an array of suggestions including a type of poison that caused the mouse to disentigrate.
After careful consideration...I purchased traps, 4, and came home....I was able to set two without eventfulness. However, the next to BOTH were defective. I came very near to snapping a finger....and threw them away. I am going to cross my fingers and hope my little tresspasser likes cheese. sigh.....
